Programme for Weekend Courses

Please respect the arrival time as I have a lot to prepare and want to be able to give you all my complete attention and welcome when you arrive. Thank you.

Friday

From 2.30pm onwards : Arrive at Quarry Close Cottage for a warm welcome and cup of tea; meet everyone else on the course.

3.30pm - 5.30pm : First Session. Sort out projects and get started.

7.00pm (approx.) : Evening Meal.

8.30pm - 9.30pm : Second Session.

9.30pm - 11.00pm : Use of room for working late (if you have the energy!)

Workshop is closed at 11.00pm.

 

Saturday

8.30am - 9.00am : Buffet breakfast.

9.30am - 11.30pm : Third Session. Working on own project until lunchtime.

1.00pm (approx.) : Lunch.

2.00pm - 4.00pm : Afternoon Break. Time for a rest. Maybe a walk in the woods behind Quarry Close Cottage, a trip to Scarborough, or carry on with your own work.

4.00pm - 6.00pm : Fourth session.

7.00pm (approx.) Evening Meal.

8.30pm - 9.30pm Fifth Session.

9.30pm - 11.00pm : Use of room for working late (I'll just finish this little bit!)

Workshop is closed at 11.00pm.

 

Sunday

8.30am - 9.00am : Buffet breakfast.

9.30am - 12.30pm : Sixth Session. Working on own project until lunchtime

1.30pm (approx) : Full three course Buffet Lunch

2.30pm - 5.00pm : Finishing off and working on own.

(If you are staying until Monday morning, workshop is available for working on own projects during the afternoon and evening. Evening supper is provided for those staying until Monday)

5.00pm : Afternoon Tea and Fond Farewells.

 

Coffee, tea and other drinks are available at all times from the downstairs kitchen. Just help yourself!

Limited amount of fabrics, wadding, threads, etc. available for sale to course students.

Do feel free to bring your own fabric. Also please feel free to bring your own machine, but don’t forget the power cable, foot pedal and machine manual!

Sewing machines available; please book if you need one.

Cutting mats and rulers provided. Please bring your own cutter.

Also bring your full sewing kit, needles, pins, scissors, notepad and pencils, etc.
